Edition 2025 — Vertical Chionea

In 2025, the Vertical Chionea once again drew uphill running and mountain enthusiasts to Ormea. The race, organized by G.S.D. Valtanaro, featured the 2.4-kilometer climb with 380 meters of elevation gain from the village to the Chionea Mountain Hut, concluded by the usual convivial mountain party in the heart of the upper Tanaro Valley.

The 2025 Vertical Chionea

The 2025 edition of the Vertical Chionea took place in Ormea, in the Province of Cuneo, confirming the uphill race format towards the Chionea Mountain Hut. Athletes tackled the approximately 2.4 km track with 380 meters of elevation gain, a short and intense test immersed in the alpine landscapes of the upper Tanaro Valley.

As per tradition, the day concluded with a party at the mountain hut, a moment of conviviality that has always characterized the event organized by G.S.D. Valtanaro.
