Edition 2025 — Vernacular Festival

The 2025 edition of the Vernacular Theatre Festival was held in Andria at the Mons. Di Donna Auditorium, featuring comedies by local dialect companies selected through a public call for interest. This edition was dedicated to Mimì Ieva, a passionate scholar and expert on the local dialect, who left behind a precious exercise in memory and research into collective identity through his collection of words. Free admission.

The 2025 Vernacular Theatre Festival confirmed the Municipality of Andria's commitment to protecting and promoting the Andrian dialect through popular theatre. The performances, hosted at the Mons. The edition was dedicated to Mimì Ieva, an Andrian citizen remembered for his dedication as a scholar and expert on the dialect: through his collection of words gathered by interviewing fellow citizens, he bequeathed to the city a precious heritage of poetic suggestions and collective memory. Once again, admission to the performances was free, confirming the popular and community-oriented nature of the festival.
