Edition 2025 — Verginelle of Rapino
As every year, on May 8th, 2025, Rapino celebrated the Madonna del Carpine Feast with the traditional Verginelle Procession. At 10:00 AM, the procession departed from the Parish Church of San Lorenzo to reach the Sanctuary of the Madonna del Carpine, with the young girls of Rapino in white, pink, or light blue tunics displaying family gold, symbolically offered as ex-votos to the Madonna.
2025 Edition
On May 8th, 2025, the Madonna del Carpine Feast was renewed in Rapino (CH), with the solemn Verginelle Procession. At 10:00 AM, the procession departed from the Parish Church of San Lorenzo towards the Sanctuary, with girls aged 6 to 13 in tunics and family gold displayed as ex-votos. A devotional rite over two centuries old, recognized as an Intangible Heritage of Italy, which continues to involve the entire community of the Abruzzese village.
