Verdello Festival and "La Zagara d'Oro" National Award

The 2025 edition of the Verdello Festival, the 31st, was held on August 23 and 24, 2025, in the village of Sciglio in Roccalumera (ME), starting at 8:00 PM. Along the village streets, stalls offered local products and verdello-based specialties, including burger sandwiches, rolls, and porchetta seasoned with lemon.

On Sunday, the ceremony for the 29th "La Zagara d'Oro - Gilberto Idonea" National Award took place, organized by the Salvatore Quasimodo Cultural Circle chaired by Pippo Giorgianni. Among the awardees was Canale 5 television journalist Veronica Gervaso, along with recognitions for Sicilian professionals, journalism, volunteering, and sports dance. The evening concluded with a concert by singer-songwriter Gerardina Trovato.
