Edition 2025 — Ventotene Film Fest
2025: the festival's thirty-year milestone
The 2025 edition marked the thirty-year milestone of the Ventotene Film Festival. The summer preview on July 25 and 26 brought two absolute protagonists of Italian cinema to the island: Academy Award-winning director Paolo Sorrentino, awarded for International Excellence following a meeting with critic Federico Pontiggia, and Alba Rohrwacher, honored with the Wind of Europe International Award at the Belvedere Granili.
On July 25, the Terrazza Parata Grande hosted a panel on the European audiovisual plan with European Parliament Vice President Pina Picierno and directors Antonio Piazza and Fabio Grassadonia. The event, supported by the Ministry of Culture, the Lazio Region, and the Municipality of Ventotene, continued in the autumn with a program of screenings, meetings, and masterclasses to celebrate the festival's thirty-year history.
