Edition 2025 — Ventasso Ecomarathon
The 20th edition of the Ventasso Ecomarathon took place on Sunday, July 13, 2025, in Busana, a hamlet of the Municipality of Ventasso (Reggio Emilia), celebrating the twentieth anniversary of the event founded in 2003.
127 participants started the 43 km marathon, 133 the eighth edition of the Cadoniche Trail (25 km), and 71 competed in the Rondino Short Trail (11 km), in addition to the non-competitive participants. A violent thunderstorm near the summit of Monte Ventasso (1,727 m), lasting about an hour but accompanied by lightning, led organizers to halt the ascents to the summit for safety reasons: only 61 finishers completed the 43 km, with numerous dropouts.
On the 11 km race, Pietro Salati (57:17) won among men and Isabella Morlini among women; on the 25 km Cadoniche Trail, the victory went to Jacopo Mantovani (2:02:19) and Leda Bonicelli (2:42:50).
