Velia Festival 2025: twenty-five years of music in Cilento

The 2025 edition marked an important milestone for the Velia Festival, reaching its twenty-fifth year of activity. From July 18 to August 24, the festival spanned three key areas of the territory: Piazza Morinelli in Casal Velino, the Torre Dominella in Casal Velino Marina, and the Alario Foundation in Ascea Marina, the latter just a stone's throw from the archaeological site of Velia.

The inaugural concert on July 18 was entrusted to the Trio Felix, with Marilena Gaudio (soprano), Gianni Ciliberti (clarinet), and Flavio Peconio (piano). Throughout the summer, performers included violinist Teo Gertler, cellist Vito Paternoster, and pianist Gloria Cianchetta, in a program that combined classical repertoire with rarer pages of chamber literature.

In 2025, the festival once again confirmed its educational vocation and free access to all evenings, consolidating its bond with the Cilento public and the numerous summer visitors to the coast in the province of Salerno.
