The 2025 Edition
The Veleia Ancient Theatre Festival 2025 brought some of the most beloved stars of the Italian stage to the hill of Veleia Romana, in the Municipality of Lugagnano Val d'Arda: Alessandro Bergonzoni, Stefano Massini, Lella Costa, César Brie, Neri Marcorè, Andrea Pennacchi, as well as the anticipated return of the historian Alessandro Barbero and the direction of Leonardo Lidi for Bottega XNL.
One of the innovations of the 2025 edition was the expansion of the festival beyond the archaeological area of Veleia, with opening and closing performances hosted in the monumental square of Castell'Arquato and the medieval village of Vigoleno. All performances featured a numbered seat ticket costing 10 euros. The Veleia Ragazzi section, dedicated to younger audiences, was also confirmed.
