Vasto in Folk 2025: the 15th edition
The 15th edition of the Vasto in Folk International Folklore Festival took place on August 8 and 9, 2025, in Piazza Rossetti in Vasto, at 9:00 PM, before a packed square. The evenings, hosted by Carmine Di Donato, brought together choirs and folk groups from Abruzzo, Molise, Tuscany, and Friuli-Venezia Giulia, with the international participation of the Ukrainian vocal group Cervona Kalyna.
Guest performers included: the Mastro Davide Polyphonic Choir of Gessopalena, the Danzerini of Lucinico, the Lucignano Folk Group, the In...canto Tollese Choral Association, and the La Voce della Tradizione Folk Group of Termoli. The hosts, the Cantori del Golfo, performed with tenor soloist Nicola Andrea De Nicolis, presenting the repertoire of maestro Nicolamaria Stivaletta, dedicated to the memory and emigration of Abruzzo. The free event confirmed its status as a cultural and social highlight for the Municipality of Vasto.
