Edition 2025 — Lake Festival
In its full editions, the Varenna Lake Festival enlivens the entire day on the lakefront: aperitif in the afternoon, local cuisine, live music, the blessing of boats, and the evening fireworks display, accompanied by the historical re-enactment of the landing of refugees from Comacina Island in 1169. An event that attracts thousands of visitors to the Lecco branch of Lake Como.
The Varenna Lake Festival, organized by the Pro Loco of Varenna in the province of Lecco, is traditionally one of the most evocative summer events on Lario. In its full editions, the day unfolds with an aperitif, local cuisine, music, the blessing of boats, and fireworks on the lake, accompanied by the re-enactment of the landing of refugees from Comacina Island. A special ferry connects Varenna to the other shores of the lake to witness the spectacle.
