Varallino Festival

The 2025 Varallino Festival was held in Galliate (Province of Novara) from September 5th to 14th, centered around the solemnity of September 8th, the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

The prayer novena took place from August 30th to September 7th, every evening at 8:30 PM. The popular festivities began on September 5th at 3:00 PM with the opening of the funfair; on September 6th, at 5:00 PM, the charity raffle was inaugurated, followed by a concert by the Verde Azzurra Band of Galliate and the Borgognese Philharmonic Society. On September 8th, the solemn Holy Mass at 10:30 AM, animated by the Santa Cecilia Choir, commemorated the ordination anniversaries of local priests.

Regarding gastronomy, the Folliconi stands offered traditional Novara dishes: paniscia, mushroom risotto, tripe, lasagna, cannelloni, snails, duck, roast beef, braised beef, and salamelle, served every evening from September 8th and for lunch on Sundays.
