Vanna Bianciardi National Competition

The first edition of the Vanna Bianciardi National Competition inaugurated a new award in Castellina in Chianti dedicated to the memory of Vanna Bianciardi, a professor of great culture and charisma who devoted her life to spreading the Italian language and culture in Europe. The competition was divided into three sections: literary (short story, poetry, and short play), photographic, and musical, the latter awarded with the Carla Pitigliani Prize of 1,000 euros, offered by the Pitigliani family. Organized by Amici di Palazzo Bianciardi APS and the Museo Archivio Bianciardi with the patronage of the Municipality, the event concluded with the awards ceremony on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 5:00 PM. The great success of this debut paved the way for the 2026 edition.
