Valle del Farfa Marathon 2025
The 2025 edition, held on Sunday, September 28, in Castelnuovo di Farfa, confirmed the technical and scenic value of the Sabina granfondo, taking on an even more prestigious role: the day hosted the ACSI Italian MTB Marathon Championship, within the MTB Marathon Lazio circuit. Athletes from across the region and beyond competed on the tracks crossing the Rieti Sabina.
In the men's marathon classification, Stefano Valdrighi (Bottecchia Factory Team) won with a time of 2:17:03, ahead of Alex Pelucchini and Michele Angeletti; among the women, Luisa De Lorenzo Poz (Team Estebike Zordan) triumphed in 3:37:59. The event combined competitive and cycle-touring elements, offering even less experienced participants the chance to ride among olive groves, forests, and ancient villages. The traditional pasta party concluded the day of outdoor sports in a convivial atmosphere.
