Edition 2025 — Valle dei Vini Classic
The eighth edition of the Valle dei Vini Granfondo was held on Sunday, March 9, 2025, in Sambuca di Sicilia (AG), confirming its status as the most popular MTB granfondo in Southern Italy with nearly 700 registered participants. The event had the honor of opening the 2025 Appennino Superbike circuit.
The 46 km Granfondo route with 1,600 meters of elevation gain started from the village's historic center to take the old narrow-gauge railway track, tackling the 20% wall, the rollercoaster (2 km of almost straight single track), pine forests, and two river crossings. The 29 km Hiking route with 1,000 meters of elevation gain offered a shorter but equally stunning version.
The overall podium was conquered, in order, by Leonardo Paez, Dario Cherchi, and Diego Rosa. In 2025, participants were once again provided with breakfast, a race pack, a pasta party, free photos, medical assistance, and a sweep service, with free registration offered by the Municipality to cyclists from non-Sicilian clubs.
