Vallata del Folklore – Stuffed Fritter Festival

The 16th edition of the Vallata del Folklore took place on Saturday, August 23, 2025, starting at 8:00 PM, in Contrada Ciporrelli in Monopoli (BA). The customary Stuffed Fritter Festival was accompanied by a rich program that intertwined music, poetry, and literature.

The stars of the evening were I Cipurrid, a folk music group in concert, with a musical interlude by Piero Di Lauro on a traditional composition. There was also space for local culture with poems in the Monopoli dialect by Cosimo Loperfido and the presentation of the book "Scalando il cielo. Autobiografia di un operaio sognatore" by Gino Perri, moderated by cultural animator Bruna De Marinis. Part of the proceeds from book sales was donated to a charity project. Admission was free.

• Presentation of the book "Scalando il cielo. Autobiografia di un operaio sognatore" by Gino Perri, with Bruna De Marinis; poems in the Monopoli dialect by Cosimo Loperfido.
• Concert by I Cipurrid, with a musical interlude by Piero Di Lauro.
