Valentano Roots and Wellness: A Leap into the Middle Ages

The roots of the event

The format combining medieval re-enactment, tastings, and wellness debuts in Valentano in June 2026, but it is rooted in a consolidated tradition of events hosted by the Rocca Farnese. As early as September 2023, with "Eccellenze dalla terra" (Excellences from the land), the Municipality of Valentano and the Pro Loco brought tastings of wines, cheeses, oils, and Tuscia specialties to the Farnese residence, featuring show cooking and meetings curated by gastronome Carlo Zucchetti.

There is no edition recorded for 2025 under the current title: the "A Leap into the Middle Ages" event was born as a new project that interweaves the local historical pageants, street arts, and the promotion of Viterbo's Tuscia wines, from Grechetto to Est! Est!! Est!!! of Montefiascone. A growth path that finds its natural setting in the Rocca Farnese and the Museum of Prehistory of Tuscia, in the heart of Upper Lazio.
