About ValdobbiadeneJazz

For an entire month, from mid-April to mid-May, the hills of Prosecco Superiore in Valdobbiadene—recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage site—transform into a vast, spread-out jazz stage. Between the C. Piva Auditorium and Piazza Marconi, as well as in the neighboring towns of Quero, Miane, Follina, and Solighetto, ValdobbiadeneJazz brings together major international names, young talents under 30, artistic residencies, and school workshops. It's a festival that fosters dialogue between music and the landscape, and the identity of a unique territory.

Jazz in the UNESCO Prosecco Hills

The ValdobbiadeneJazz Festival is the event that every spring brings great improvised music to Valdobbiadene and the towns of the Valdobbiadenese area, in the province of Treviso, right in the heart of the Prosecco Superiore DOCG hills declared a UNESCO World Heritage site. Born to celebrate both music and the territory, the festival has established itself as one of the most original jazz events in the Veneto region.

A Festival Divided into Sections

The strength of ValdobbiadeneJazz lies in its division into several sections, each with a distinct identity:

  • ValdobbiadeneJazz School: The festival opens by giving a voice to students from middle schools and music high schools in the area.
  • ValdobbiadeneJazz Young: The showcase dedicated to the best Italian jazz musicians under 30.
  • ValdobbiadeneJazz Lab: An immersive artistic residency that brings together musicians under 30 from all over Italy and abroad in a true open-air laboratory.
  • ValdobbiadeneJazz Master: The major international names, the pulsating heart of the festival.

A Main Venue, a Spread-Out Territory

The headquarters is the C. Piva Auditorium in Valdobbiadene, complemented by Piazza Marconi for outdoor concerts. But the festival extends to neighboring towns—Quero, Miane, Follina, Solighetto—embracing the entire hilly landscape. Organized by the Consorzio delle Pro Loco del Valdobbiadenese UNPLI APS, it enjoys the support of the Consorzio di Tutela del Conegliano Valdobbiadene Prosecco DOCG and the Association for the World Heritage of the Prosecco Hills UNESCO.

Music and Landscape

What makes ValdobbiadeneJazz special is the encounter between jazz and one of Italy's most beautiful wine-growing landscapes. The International Jazz Day on April 30th, celebrated in Piazza Marconi, is one of the symbolic moments of this dialogue between musical culture and the territory's identity.

ValdobbiadeneJazz — edition 2026

The eighth edition of ValdobbiadeneJazz spanned an entire month, from April 18 to May 17, 2026, featuring the School, Young, Lab, and Master sections. Among the major international guests in the Master section were trumpeter Eddie Henderson, guitarist Leroy Emmanuel, and saxophonist Lou Marini with The Italian Groovers.

The eighth edition of the ValdobbiadeneJazz Festival enlivened the Prosecco hills for a whole month, from April 18 to May 17, 2026, alternating concerts, artistic residencies, and school workshops between Valdobbiadene and the neighboring towns.

The program blended training for the younger generation with the presence of great international soloists, confirming the festival's commitment to fostering dialogue between music and the landscape in the UNESCO World Heritage Prosecco Superiore DOCG territory.
