The 2025 edition of the tournament took place on Sunday, June 1, at 4:00 PM in the scenic Piazza dei Priori in Volterra. As per tradition, the city districts fielded their best marksmen, competing first in the elimination round and then in the grand final with the corniolo shot for the title of Priore dei Balestrieri and the silver collar.

The winner was Daniele Peretti, known as "Scintilla," from the Contrada di Sant'Agnolo. The event, organized by the Compagnia Balestrieri della Città di Volterra, confirmed its ability to combine competition, historical memory, and spectacle, with the pageant, flag-wavers, and clarion calls accompanying the day.
