"Usche" Kirchtag 2025
The traditional "Usche" Kirchtag was held in Casere/Kasern, Predoi (Prettau), in the Ahrntal valley, on the weekend of Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26, 2025. As per tradition, the 1. Junggesellenverein Prettau set up the festival under a large heated marquee.
On Saturday afternoon, the village bachelors carried out the preparation and raising of the "Usche", the female figure that represents the counterpart to the "Kirchtagmichl" of other valleys; live music followed in the evening. On Sunday, musical entertainment resumed around noon, amidst typical dishes and conviviality, thus closing the Kirchtag season of the Upper Puster Valley.
