Urbino in Gioco – World Play Day Festival

The 2025 edition of Urbino in Gioco, the tenth, enlivened the Albornoz Fortress in Urbino from May 30th to June 2nd, 2025 with the theme "Le parole del gioco" (The Words of Play). The program included "played games" — a game library, board games, role-playing games, giant and traditional games like stilts and kites — and a series of workshops, panels, and interviews that brought the first edition of the Play Journalism Festival to life, in collaboration with ioGioco. Among the special initiatives were the national competition "Libro Game in Classe" with about thirty Italian schools, the exhibition "40 Years of Gamebooks in Italy," and the urban game "The Lost Treasure of Montefeltro." There was also a large labyrinth enriched with word games and the Solving Cup 2025. The event, with free admission, confirmed its spirit of sharing and inclusion.
