Edition 2025 — Under the Moon and Fireflies
On Saturday, July 5, 2025, the Val Sarmassa Nature Reserve in Vinchio (AT) hosted the traditional night walk Under the Moon and Fireflies in the Saracen Woods. The meeting took place at 9:00 PM at Bricco di Monte del Mare, on Via Cortiglione. The free walk, accompanied by park guides, covered approximately 4 km through woods illuminated by fireflies, following the paths of the Serralunga valley to the Valletto della morte, where legend tells of Aleramo's victory over the Saracens in 935.
The evening, organized by the Davide Lajolo Cultural Association with the municipalities of Vinchio and Vaglio Serra, the Asti Paleontological Park, and the Cantina di Vinchio e Vaglio Serra, concluded around 11:15 PM with a snack prepared by the Pro Loco of Vaglio Serra and a toast with local wines.
