Edition 2025 — UnArchive Fest

The third edition of UnArchive Found Footage Fest, titled "Burning Cinema," took place in Rome from May 27 to June 1, 2025, featuring over 100 works across more than 10 venues, from the Cinema Intrastevere to the Botanical Garden and the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone. At its core, the international competition showcased 20 selected works with a strong emphasis on the dialogue between archival footage and live music.

3rd Edition — "Burning Cinema"

The third edition of UnArchive Found Footage Fest enlivened Rome from May 27 to June 1, 2025, presenting over 100 works distributed across more than 10 locations in the city, from the Cinema Intrastevere to the Casa Internazionale delle Donne, from the Botanical Garden to the Real Academia de España, and the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone.

Conceived and directed by Marco Bertozzi and Alina Marazzi and produced by the AAMOD Foundation, the festival confirmed its nature as an ecosystem bridging cinema, visual arts, music, and critical thought. The heart of the edition was the international competition with 20 works—10 feature films and 10 short films—chosen for their ability to re-signify archival material, alongside a rich program of hybridizations between stock footage and live music.
