Un Grado e Mezzo – Climate and Environment Festival

The 2025 edition of Un Grado e Mezzo confirmed the festival's vocation for combining scientific outreach with a focus on the alpine environment, with events spread between Turin and Bardonecchia. The final event, hosted at the Palazzo delle Feste in Bardonecchia on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 11:00 AM, brought together two leading voices of Italian climatology, Luca Mercalli and Elisa Palazzi, for the meeting «The climate crisis in the mountains: what does it teach us, where does it lead us?».

The meeting, with free admission subject to availability, addressed the effects of global warming on mountain territories, from the retreat of glaciers to the transformations of the alpine landscape, confirming the festival as a reference point for those who want to understand the climate crisis starting from the Piedmontese Alps.
