Un Borgo da Favola

The first evening of Un Borgo da Favola was held on August 8th, 2025, in Montesano sulla Marcellana, in the province of Salerno, with Pinocchio as the central theme. The route wound through the historic center, from the Cathedral of Sant'Anna to Piazza Castello, transformed for one night into the village of Collodi's fairy tale.

Along the streets, street artists, figure theater and puppets, stilt-walkers, fire-eaters, storytellers, and a roaming band took turns, while painting exhibitions accompanied the journey. In the square, The Ballad of Pinocchio, a theatrical show by Luigi Compagnone, was performed.

The culinary aspect was also carefully curated, entrusted to the Osteria del Gambero Rosso, with an entirely themed menu: Mangiafuoco's sandwich, Geppetto's fusilli, the Cat and the Fox's bruschetta, Pinocchio's fries, and the Blue Fairy's cotton candy. The event, promoted by the municipal administration led by Mayor Giuseppe Rinaldi with the contribution of local associations, brought thousands of people from all over the Vallo di Diano to the village.
