Edition 2025 — UTCB

The 6th edition of the Ultra Trail of the Burnt Castles took place in Gabiano on March 29, 2025, gathering 172 participants across the event's signature distances, from 25 km to 100 km. In 2025, the routes once again traversed the hills, woods, and municipalities of the Monferrato Casalese linked to the history of the castles burned by Frederick Barbarossa.

The 2025 edition of the Ultra Trail of the Burnt Castles was held in Gabiano, in the Monferrato Casalese, on March 29, 2025, with 172 participants at the start.

As per tradition, athletes were able to choose between the different distances of the format — from 25 km to 100 km with the relay formula — tackling dirt roads, paths, and wooded sections among the hills of the Valcerrina. The event, organized by the ASD Quei Bruciati dei Castelli Bruciati, confirmed its role in 2025 as a reference point for Piedmontese trail running, combining sport, landscape, and the historical memory of the castles burned in the Middle Ages.
