Edition 2025 — Uitnoma Kirschta

The 2025 edition of the Uitnoma Kirschta took place on Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, 2025, in Uttenheim (Gais), organized by the Musikkapelle Uttenheim. Two days of South Tyrolean brass music, entertainment, and gastronomy under the heated marquee, culminating on Sunday with the traditional Almabtrieb, the cattle drive accompanied by costumed bands through the village streets.

Uitnoma Kirschta 2025

The festival was held on Saturday, October 11 and Sunday, October 12, 2025 in Uttenheim, a hamlet of Gais, in the Puster Valley. Saturday opened with the raising of the Kirschtamichlbaum in the afternoon and, in the evening, music and a disco-style party in the marquee. Sunday was the highlight: a morning toast with a guest band, followed at noon by the traditional Almabtrieb, with livestock adorned with flowers and bells parading toward the village, followed by concerts from South Tyrolean folk groups and a lottery draw.

The event reaffirmed its role as a key identity-building appointment for the Gais community and the Puster Valley, blending rural traditions, brass music, and conviviality.
