Edition 2025 — U vinu bonu
The edition linked to the Saint Martin celebration brought back the traditional festival format to Gela. In the historic center, the old trades of the Gela tradition were re-enacted: the harvesting of cotton and licorice, the production of brooms with dwarf palm (the "scupazzu"), dairy and pasta processing, and sponge and local fish fishing.
The day was enlivened by ancient songs, theatrical performances, poetry, and serenades of the Gela tradition. Throughout the event, free tastings of local wine and sausage were available. In the morning, groups and motorhome travelers arriving from various parts of Sicily were welcomed and accompanied in groups on free guided tours of the artistic beauties of ancient Gela.
