Edition 2025 — U Presèpie all'use nueste
The 2024-2025 edition
During the 2024-2025 Christmas season, «U Presèpie all'use nueste» returned to animate the historic center of Cassano delle Murge (Bari Province, Puglia). The performances were held on the evenings of December 26, 28, and 29, 2024, and January 4, 5, and 6, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM.
With the entrance from Piazza Rossani and the route between via Mastrocanta and via Carlo Chimienti, visitors rediscovered the trades of yesteryear thanks to numerous costumed actors: the embroiderer, the tailor, the cobbler, the blacksmith, the washerwoman, the shopkeeper, the chestnut roaster, the carpenter, and the bagpiper. True to its formula, the nativity scene «entered the homes» of the oldest district, transforming domestic spaces into authentic scenes of peasant life and giving the community an intimate and evocative experience.
