Tulipani di Seta Nera - International Social Cinema Festival

The eighteenth edition of the International Social Cinema Festival took place at The Space Cinema Moderno in Piazza della Repubblica, Rome, from May 8 to 11, 2025. 97 works were selected for competition across the three sections of short films, documentaries, and #SocialClips, all united by their focus on social issues and sustainability.

The edition emphasized overcoming the so-called throwaway culture and paying attention to the most vulnerable, with a heartfelt tribute to actress Eleonora Giorgi. As per tradition, the winners were announced during the final grand gala on Sunday, May 11, hosted by Lorena Bianchetti and broadcast in the late evening on Rai 2. Admission to screenings was free subject to availability.
