Tuifltog Sterzing – Krampus Day

Tuifltog Sterzing 2025

The 2025 edition of the Tuifltog took place on Friday, December 5, 2025, in the historic center of Vipiteno (Sterzing), province of Bolzano. As every year, the day of the devils opened with Saint Nicholas's visits to homes, accompanied by his servant Ruprecht and the Moors.

In the evening, around 6:00 PM, the grand parade of the Tuifl traveled through the Old Town, crossed the Town Square and the Twelve Tower, and then descended into the New Town. The devils, with soot-blackened faces and no masks, maintained order with their whips and blackened the bravest among the audience, bringing to life the customary game with the Tratzer. The event was part of the Vipiteno Advent season, animated by the Christmas market in the center.
