Truckers' Saturday

The 2025 edition of the Truckers' Saturday in Pietraperzia was held from Friday, May 16 to Sunday, May 18. Friday evening opened the festivities with the collection of the flag, the procession of the Palio of the Madonna della Cava through the town streets, and the recitation of the Holy Rosary with the blessing of the truckers. On Saturday morning, the trucks gathered on Viale Unità d'Italia to set off on a pilgrimage to the Sanctuary of Maria Santissima della Cava, where Holy Mass was celebrated at noon, followed by the return procession and parade in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele. The Sunday concluded with evening Mass, the flag procession, and the traditional drawing of the standard-bearers. The little Giulia and Giorgia Siciliano accompanied the procession as ceremonial angels.
