Trozzelle Festival

The 2025 summer edition of the Trozzelle Festival confirmed the stable return of an event that, after a few years of absence, had been relaunched in Vaste with great participation. In the historic center of the Poggiardo village, artisans, hobbyists, and local history enthusiasts gathered, drawn by the theme of the trozzella, the characteristic Messapian-era vase found in local excavations.

As per tradition, the evening combined the promotion of archaeological heritage, with exhibitions dedicated to the trozzelle, and food stands offering traditional Salento peasant cuisine, including cranu stumpatu and roasted meat. Folk music and pizzica accompanied the festivities until late at night, in an atmosphere of authentic Salento conviviality.
