Troia Teatro Festival 2025

The 2025 edition of the Troia Teatro Festival, held from 4 to 9 August, reaffirmed the festival's commitment to immersive theatre and community participation. Organised by Teatri 35 and the Unione Giovanile Troiana, in collaboration with the municipalities of Troia and Lucera, the festival involved 8 locations in the historic centre of Troia and 5 venues in Lucera, which hosted a stage of the event on 5 August during its year as the Apulian Capital of Culture.

The programme, entirely free of charge based on the 'hat philosophy', was divided into five sections: Talking About, featuring meetings and readings; site-specific shows; dance, with the Uscite di Emergenza Dance Company and the Funa Performing Arts Company; artistic workshops, ranging from vocal research with Dynamis to creativity for children and digital storytelling for under-25s; and itinerant music and street art performances, with the Takabum Street Band and the Scalzabanda in parade. Among the companies present were Morks, El Kote, and La Baracca dei Buffoni, for a total of over 30 hours of performances, 12 companies, and more than 50 artists.
