Trofeo del Mare – Bagheria City of Villas

12th Trofeo del Mare 2025

The 2025 edition, the twelfth of the event, was held on Sunday, November 2, 2025, on the Bagheria city course, with the meeting point and bib collection on Corso Umberto I near Villa Palagonia. The race, covering a certified distance of 10 km divided into four 2.5 km laps, saw 330 registered participants, including 266 men and 64 women, with just over 300 athletes crossing the finish line.

In the men's category, victory went to Thierry Irakoze (Milone Siracusa); Marco Coppola (Universitas Palermo) also made the podium, finishing third in 33'36". Among the women, Federica Cernigliaro of Polisportiva Atletica Bagheria triumphed with a time of 37'10", ahead of Virginia Salemi (38'10"). It was a day of sport and celebration that confirmed the Trofeo del Mare as one of the classics of the Sicilian autumn running season.
