4th Trofeo Città di Messina - April 6, 2025
The fourth edition, also titled 2nd Memorial Carmelo La Corte, took place on Sunday, April 6, 2025, with over 310 registered participants from all provinces of Sicily and some from outside the region. The race, a national "bronze" level 10 km road race sanctioned by FIDAL and organized by ASD Podistica Messina in collaboration with the Municipality of Messina, served as the fourth stage of the 30th Sicily Grand Prix 2025.
The start was at 10:00 AM from Via Garibaldi 114, with the finish in Piazza Unione Europea, on a circuit consisting of four laps plus an initial semi-loop with turns between Via Tommaso Cannizzaro and Viale Boccetta. In the men's category, Riccardo Pavone (Indomita Torregrotta) won in 33'03", ahead of Federico Denisi (Podistica Messina, 33'32") and Domenico Conti (Universitas Palermo, 34'02"). Among the women, Maria Virginia Salemi (Podistica Messina) took the win in 39'00".
