Edition 2025 — Tripe Festival

In 2025, the Tripe Festival once again animated the village of Acaya, a hamlet of Vernole (Lecce), in September. The festival featured tripe cooked according to traditional Salento recipes, horse meat stew, and typical local dishes, accompanied by live music and folk dancing in the historic center of the fortified village. Free admission.

Tripe Festival 2025 in Acaya

In September 2025, the Tripe Festival returned to animate the village of Acaya, a hamlet of Vernole, in the province of Lecce. The food and wine festival confirmed its dedication to Salento peasant cuisine, with tripe as the star of the food stalls set up in the historic center.

Alongside the tripe, cooked in tomato sauce according to traditional recipes, the public was able to enjoy pezzetti di cavallo and typical Salento dishes. The evenings were accompanied by live music and folk dancing, in the evocative setting of the fortified village dominated by the Castle of Acaya. Admission was free and open to everyone.
