Edition 2025 — Tricase Carnival

The 2025 edition of the Tricase Carnival — I masci de na fiata enlivened Tricase with a long series of 'masciate' in the neighborhoods and hamlets between the end of February and the beginning of March, culminating on Shrove Tuesday, March 4. Organized by the APS Pro Loco Tricase and the Municipality with artistic direction by Tricasèmia and masks created by artisan Ilaria De Marco, the event revived the tradition of the 'masci' with dancing, singing, and parades ending in Piazza Cappuccini.

In 2025, the Tricase Carnival offered a rich calendar of masciate in the various neighborhoods and hamlets of the city in Tricase (Lecce), spread between the end of February and the beginning of March. The masci, the folk masks of Tricase, gathered in the squares for convivial moments of dancing and singing accompanied by guitars, following the tradition revived by the Tricasèmia association together with the APS Pro Loco Tricase and the Municipality of Tricase. The masks for this edition were crafted by artisan Ilaria De Marco. The key days concluded with parades and festivities in Piazza Cappuccini, leading up to Shrove Tuesday on March 4, 2025.
