Edition 2025 — Rome Tree Festival
2025 Edition: the thirtieth anniversary of the Tree Festival
The 2025 edition coincided with the thirty years of Legambiente's national campaign, which from November 21 to 23 promoted over 120 reforestation initiatives in 14 Italian regions, carried out with citizens, schools, businesses, and local administrations. Campaign partners: AzzeroCO₂, FRoSTA, INWIT, and, as a technical partner, Biorepack.
In Rome, the program opened on November 20 with a preview in the Monte Mario Nature Reserve: about seventy INWIT employees took part in workshops dedicated to the recognition and conservation of biodiversity, with the planting of new trees. The activity was part of the action plan shared between Legambiente, INWIT, and RomaNatura, which also includes a pilot project for monitoring fires in the capital's protected areas through telecommunication towers.
On November 21, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, the Loggia of Villa Mazzanti at Via Gomenizza 81 hosted the public meeting «Trees in the urban environment: new scenarios and old critical issues», organized by ISPRA in collaboration with RomaNatura and focused on the implications of EU Regulation 2024/1991 on nature restoration. Admission was free and open to the public, until capacity was reached.
