Edition 2025 — Traversata di Diomede

In 2025, the Traversata di Diomede was held on Saturday, May 24, and Sunday, May 25, in the Tremiti Islands as a stage of the Italian Open Water Tour. Two days of open-water swimming between San Domino, San Nicola, and Cretaccio, with races of various distances and the participation of swimmers from all over Italy, in the heart of the Apulian archipelago's Marine Reserve.

Traversata di Diomede 2025

The 2025 edition took place on May 24 and 25 in the Tremiti Islands archipelago, in the municipality of the same name in the Province of Foggia, Puglia. As a stage of the Italian Open Water Tour, the event offered a rich calendar of open-water swimming races ranging from the nautical mile to longer trials, as well as team relays.

Swimmers crossed the crystal-clear waters between San Domino, San Nicola, and Cretaccio, amidst the cliffs and seabeds of the Marine Reserve, in a natural setting that combined sporting challenge with the discovery of one of the most beautiful stretches of the Adriatic Sea.
