Le Stradacce, the start of the Transubike circuit

Le Stradacce is the mountain bike cycling tour that inaugurates the Transubike circuit every year, an event born in 2015 that has grown edition after edition to become one of the most beloved by off-road bike enthusiasts in the Marche region. The meeting point is in Loro Piceno, a small village in the Province of Macerata dominated by Castello Brunforte, in the heart of the Monti Azzurri Mountain Union.

The route between Loro Piceno and Ripe San Ginesio

The route is a loop of about 40 kilometers, with a total elevation gain of 1,200 meters, winding through the picturesque hills of the countryside of Loro Piceno and Ripe San Ginesio. Riders will cycle on white roads, dirt tracks, and ancient rural paths, rediscovering the routes and itineraries of the area: the spirit of the event is indeed to "rediscover, retrace, enhance, and enjoy" the historic paths of the Marche villages.

The meeting for the "Bikers in Motion" is set for 7:30 AM in Piazzale Leopardi, while the start traditionally takes place at 9:00 AM from the Porta Pia arch. The 2026 edition brought together about 220 participants at the start.

More than a ride: welcome and solidarity

Le Stradacce is not a timed competition but a convivial cycling tour, built around a culture of hospitality. Along the route, there is an intermediate refreshment stop with local products, while upon arrival, cyclists will find showers, a final pasta party, and awards for the largest groups. For those who do not own a traditional bike, e-bike rentals are available, along with a race pack and technical-medical assistance with a sweep service following behind.

The event is organized by the cycling associations Pedale Lorese and Ripe San Ginesio, with the support of the Municipalities of Loro Piceno and Ripe San Ginesio, the Marche Region, and the Monti Azzurri Mountain Union, with particular attention to the region's values of solidarity.

A spring event in the Marche

Included in the spring calendar of the Transubike circuit, Le Stradacce represents the ideal opening of the regional off-road cycling season, before subsequent stages in other Marche villages.
