Edition 2025 — Transhumance Festival
In 2025, the Transhumance Festival of Picerno once again accompanied the herds to the pastures of Monte Li Foj, featuring the Rocco Marchetto Memorial, workshops, tastings of typical products, and meetings on Lucanian livestock culture, celebrating an intangible heritage of humanity.
The 2025 edition of the Transhumance Festival brought back the rite of the herds' ascent to Monte Li Foj in Picerno. Between the Rocco Marchetto Memorial, demonstration workshops, meetings on livestock farming, and tastings of typical products, the event promoted by Coldiretti and ARA Basilicata celebrated Lucanian rural culture and the value of transhumance as a world heritage.
