Edition 2025 — Transhumance Festival
The 2025 Transhumance Festival was held on Saturday, October 18, in San Genesio Atesino/Jenesien (Bolzano). The morning began at 10:00 AM with the departure from Salto (Metzgersalten) and the descent of the adorned herds along the larch plateau, with a stop at the sports field around 11:00 AM.
Around 1:00 PM, the procession reached the Thurner meadow, above the village, where the rustic festival took place with South Tyrolean gastronomic specialties. The day concluded from 8:00 PM with a party in the marquee accompanied by a DJ, in an autumn atmosphere typical of South Tyrol.
