Traditioneller Maschgertanz

The 2025 edition of the Maschgertanz took place during the three days of Carnival, from March 2 to March 4, 2025, in Prato allo Stelvio/Prad am Stilfserjoch, in the Vinschgau Valley. The official calendar of performances ("Termine Maschgertanz 2025") was published by the local tourist office.

True to the rite handed down for generations, the procession of the eight masked couples, opened by the Bajaz, enlivened the village inns from Gasthaus to Gasthaus, amidst silent dances and pranks directed at the public. The event, free and open to all, confirmed the vitality of one of the oldest and most unique Carnival traditions in South Tyrol.
