Traditional Garibaldi Festival

The Garibaldi Festival 2025 in Cesenatico was held on Saturday, August 2 and Sunday, August 3. On Saturday at 8:30 PM, the Palio della Cuccagna saw the ten city districts compete in climbing the 14-meter greased pole, with a cash prize and traditional cured meats and cheeses hanging from the pole as prizes, preceded by the procession of teams with flag-wavers from Terra del Sole.

On Sunday at 9:15 AM, the historical procession began with authorities and Garibaldini accompanied by the "Città di Gradara" Band, followed by the sea excursion with motorboats and historic boats with 'vele al terzo' sails for the casting of a wreath upon the waves. The event concluded at 10:00 PM on Sunday with musical fireworks over the water, lasting approximately 25 minutes, synchronized to the notes of six famous international songs.
