Tour of the Alps 2025 – Start in Laces
The 48th edition of the Tour of the Alps, the stage race of the Tyrol-South Tyrol-Trentino Euroregion, saw Laces/Latsch take center stage as the departure city for the third stage, the Laces-Arco on April 22, 2025. From the Municipality of Laces, in Val Venosta and the province of Bolzano, the peloton set off towards Garda Trentino, confirming the town's bond with elite cycling.
The general classification of the 2025 edition was won by the Australian Michael Storer, ahead of the Dutchman Thymen Arensman and the Canadian Derek Gee. Laces' role as a start venue consolidated the presence of Trentino-South Tyrol in the route of the Euregio race.
