Torchlight Procession in Honor of Saint Nunzio Sulprizio

The 2025 celebrations

In 2025, the celebrations in honor of Saint Nunzio Sulprizio in Pescosansonesco followed the usual tradition. After days of preparation with the rosary and evening masses, on the evening of May 4th, the torchlight procession traversed the center of the village, ascending Via San Rocco to the Sanctuary on the slopes of Monte Picca, amidst prayers, hymns, and fireworks.

On May 5th, the day of the saint's liturgical feast, the village experienced a solemn day with high mass, the procession from the Riparossa area through the village streets, and festivities in the square, confirming the strength of a tradition deeply felt by the Pescosansonesco community in the province of Pescara.
