Tomato Festival – Raw, Cooked and Eaten

The first edition of the Maniace Tomato Festival was held from Friday, September 19 to Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM on Friday until the closing evening on Sunday. Along the town's main street, the stalls offered the best of the region: Gettata dei Maccheroni with Maniace sauce and Nebrodi black pork ragù, donkey meat ragù, caponata, fried cheeses, grilled meat, wood-fired bread, peaches, pears, and local wines.

The program alternated entertainment, live radio broadcasts, body painting, and dance performances by local schools with a conference featuring professors from the University of Catania on biodiversity and sustainable tomato cultivation. The Sunday concluded with a cabaret and show evening featuring Carmelo Caccamo, Cristiano Di Stefano, and Raimondo Todaro.
