2025: The rebirth of the Ancona Pinacoteca

The year 2025 marked a fundamental milestone for the Pinacoteca Civica Francesco Podesti: after approximately two years of renovation and reorganisation work, the museum in Palazzo Bosdari reopened its doors on December 6th, 2025, returning one of its most precious artistic treasures to the city of Ancona and the Marche region.

During the closure, the famous Pala Gozzi by Tiziano from 1520 had been loaned to Pieve di Cadore, the master's birthplace, where it was studied and enhanced. Its return to Ancona, along with the new layout, paved the way for the extraordinary 2026 exhibition that would bring together three masterpieces by the Venetian painter.
