Every year, from November to May, the La Nuova Fenice Theatre in Osimo lights up for one of the most followed theatrical seasons in the province of Ancona. In the charming Italian-style theatre in Piazza Marconi, in the historic centre of this Marche city, great Italian drama performers alternate with shows for children and a rich programme of non-subscription events. For years, this event has combined the tradition of quality theatre with offerings that appeal to all generations.
A season promoted by the city
The series is organised by the Municipality of Osimo together with A.S.S.O. and in collaboration with AMAT (Marche Association for Theatre Activities), the regional circuit that brings the best of national theatre to all of the Marche region. The formula chosen in recent years is the double run: each subscription title is performed for two consecutive evenings, allowing a wider audience to attend the shows and giving the theatre an almost metropolitan feel.
What to expect
The heart of the season is the drama programme, which brings leading actors from Italian theatre and cinema to the Osimo stage. Alongside the drama, the Family at the Theatre series offers shows designed for children and young people, often on Sunday afternoons, while the non-subscription programme enriches the calendar with concerts, comedy, dance, and special productions. A multidisciplinary offering that makes Osimo's theatre a cultural reference point for the entire Musone valley.

A theatre in the heart of the Marche

The 2025/2026 Season of the La Nuova Fenice Theatre of Osimo, promoted by the Municipality with A.S.S.O. and AMAT, presented six drama titles in double runs, five shows for families, and six non-subscription events. A rich programme that brought some of the most important names in Italian theatre and cinema to the Osimo stage, from Maddalena Crippa to Vanessa Incontrada, from Massimiliano Gallo to Alessandro Haber, confirming Nuova Fenice's role as a leading theatre for the province of Ancona and the entire Marche region.

How to get here
The La Nuova Fenice Theatre is located at Piazza Marconi 3, in the historic centre of Osimo (AN). By car, take the Osimo exit from the A14 motorway; the centre is reachable in a few minutes. By train, Osimo-Castelfidardo station is a few kilometres from the centre, connected by urban buses.
