The Village We Love

Second edition: territory, flavours, and traditions

In 2025, The Village We Love confirmed the formula born the year before, bringing ten consecutive evenings from July 24 to August 2 to Piazza Orticelli, in Cusano Mutri (province of Benevento). The stands opened at 7:00 PM with local street food; from 8:30 PM, the event came alive with live demonstrations by artisans, bakers, cheesemakers, brewers, and shepherds, followed each evening by a concert mixing folk, traditional dances, jazz, and Balkan sounds.

On display were the products of the Sannio mountains: mushrooms, potatoes, truffles, chestnuts, caciocavallo, handmade taralli, fried pizza, craft beers, and honey. For children, a creative space was set up dedicated to drawing on the theme “the village we would like”, while the alleys were adorned with crochet works by over thirty local women.

During the day, the programme offered experiences by reservation in the Titerno valley: horseback riding, river trekking, truffle hunting with dogs, and visits to the educational farm, apiary, and craft brewery. The edition was, like the previous one, completely plastic-free, with paper and corn-fibre tableware.

Every evening from July 24 to August 2, 2025: 7:00 PM opening of stands with street food and typical products; 8:30 PM live demonstrations by artisans and producers (bread, cheese, beer, weaving, stone, wood, fabrics) and closing concert. During the day, by reservation: horseback riding along the Titerno, river trekking, truffle hunting with dogs, educational farm, visit to the apiary and craft brewery.
